Commodore C64 Ultimate ist tot

Keine Ahnung, ob es im Wintergarten so warm war, dass die Bits im Flash-Speicher gekippt sind. Jedenfalls rührt das Ding nach unserem Urlaub kein Ohr am Koppe mehr :-(

Hi,

I received my C64 Ultimate in December 2025 an used it with joy until the beginning of August 2026. Then we went three weeks on a vacation-trip. After that I tried to play with my C64 but it won’t work.

After I switched it on, the power-led is red, the network-led shows an orange light, but no sound is playing and the scren stays plain black.

I updated to the last firmware months ago and it worked fine. All I did is switch off and went on vacation. After that three weeks the C64 is dead :-(

I tried to take out the fpga-board and assemble it back on the mainboard, I controlled every cable, I tried to start without any peripherie attached. But nothing changes the status. I can’t get on the C63 per http, per ftp or per telnet.

I’m a little disappointed, that my fun only lasts about 8 month for such an expensive toy.

What can I do, to get a working C64 Ultimate?
